The things we can learn from kids.
My 10-year-old daughter was speaking my language last week when we were playing “school.”
She was the teacher and started educating me about themes and that the theme is “the message” in a story.
Then she pulls out a “Star Wars” reference and quotes Yoda: “Try not. Do or do not. There is no try,” which was followed by, “take action because we learn a lot when we do.”
What?! I was blown away hearing it from a 10-year-old. My 10-year-old. I was engaged and curious to hear what she was saying.
It was a great reminder for me.
So let me ask: Are you simply “trying” or are you taking action by “doing” and being okay with “learning” from your actions (your mistakes)?
